Leading the way in Autism

Autism Service - Caerphilly Area

Working in partnership with Caerphilly Local Authority we have developed a supported living project for 3 young men with Autism in a purpose-designed bungalow. We need you to join our team and support their future.

ASSISTANT SUPPORT TEAM MANAGER (2 Posts)
REF : ASTM/1123

Basic Salary £16,509 - £17,549 (depending on experience)
Additional earning depending on sleep in


You will take the lead in supervising staff and supporting service users on a day to day basis.  A role model for best practice, you will co-ordinate and ensure the effective implementation of individual support plans and mechanisms, including autism specific techniques.

You are required to have –

  • Practical experience of supporting people with Autism.
  • Experience supporting people who present complex behavioural challenges.
  • Experience of developing, implementing and reviewing individual support profiles for people with Autism.

With the following personal attributes –

  • Creative and able to use initiative whilst involving the team.
  • Calm when faced with conflict/challenge.
  • Ability to develop a positive, supportive working environment.

CASUAL RELIEF WORKERS
Caerphilly

£6.21 per hour
This is an ideal role for people who cannot commit to contractual hours but want to support people with Autism on a flexible basis. This role allows you to work around your personal commitments as you can choose a variety of shifts throughout the day and night and work the hours that suit you.

Previous experience is not required for the Casual Relief Worker role as full training will be provided.

SUPPORT DEVELOPMENT WORKER

£6.63 - £7.50 per hour (dependant on Experience)
Additional earning depending on sleep in

Working as part of an established team alongside behavioral specialists, you will be supporting five gentlemen with learning disabilities in the Saint Fagan’s area.  The role entails following and developing detailed support plans along with providing opportunities for the gentlemen to gain greater independence.

Respite Services Cardiff

OHT operates a quality respite service for adults over 25yrs old who have a learning disability. This service enables carers to have much needed breaks to continue their caring role. Within the respite houses and community we provide the person with opportunities to have fun, develop independent living skills and meet new people.  For many service users this has been the first step towards moving away from home.
