Tenant Participation

At OHT we want our service users to have a say in their lives and on issues affecting their lives. We also encourage them to play an active role in their local and wider communities. So this is what we do….

In their own homes

  • House meetings take place in every house a minimum of once a month.
  • Support charters/service user guides are personal to each individual and they are supported to complete in a way that is appropriate to their needs and wishes (some service users have been supported to complete using video cameras).

Within the organisation

  • Customer Satisfaction Survey
  • Business Plan Consultation
  • Task and Finish Groups:
    • Finance Policy Review
    • Compliments and Complaints Policy Review
  • Involvement in Recruitment i.e. Chief Executive, Assistant Director,
  • Support Services Area Managers and Support Staff
  • Tenants Conferences
  • House Meeting Agenda Items
  • Service User Guides
  • Compliments and Complaints Procedure
  • Training as Trainers: Living in your own home, rights and responsibilities
  • Training other Service Users: Living in your own home, rights and responsibilities
  • Service User Awards
