The OHT Respite Service

Opportunity Housing Trust aims to provide a quality respite service for users and their carers, either at home or away from their everyday life.

Respite gives carers some time to themselves, while those who are cared for get to enjoy a change of scene. We like to think of it as a break for everyone.

At OHT we’ve been providing just that service to people across South Wales for many years. From our recently refurbished Cardiff homes, our team of qualified support workers provide care for when people need it most.

One of the best things about the service is that it supports people with a learning disability to experience life away from their home. Many clients enjoy developing independent life skills and social relationships too.

But don’t just take our word for it. As one of our carers said: “It was so good to know that he enjoyed it so much, he wanted to go back again!”
